Elder Candidate Interviews (part 2)

10.20.11 10:27 AM | By: PRC Interns (equip, exalt, news)

Over the past 9 months we have had 2 men from our church family undergo a time of testing in pursuit of the office of elder.  Brian DeLay, one of these elder candidates, recently sat down for an interview to share a little about his family and answer many questions that had been sent in by our Covenant Members. We invite everyone to prayerfully watch the interview!

The following questions can be found at the corresponding times throughout the video:

0:47 – Tell us a little about your family!

2:27 – Why do you want to be a pastor/elder at Peine Ridge Church?

3:47 – In which gift have you seen God grow you the most during this elder candidate process?

4:57 – How do you plan to work full-time, be an elder and manage your household well?

6:42 – What is your favorite attribute of God?

7:56 – What is one of your favorite things about Peine Ridge Church?

8:15 – If you were to write an autobiography today, what would the title be?

9:11 – What do you think is the greatest battle facing the Church today?

10:39 – Were there any significant theological differences that you had with an elder prior to the elder candidate process? Currently are there any differences?

11:36 – What is one of your greatest fears for Peine Ridge Church? How will that fear help shape the way you would lead as an elder?

well done my “soon to be” Elder Leader. I love you man. I love your heart. I love the way you lead. I love the way you love the Lord. I’m grateful that God has placed me in PRC at this time and under your leadership…as long as you get the secret handshake right!…:0)
