Run for the Ridge!

At Peine Ridge Church our mission is to “…exalt Christ by equipping Christians and engaging our community with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.”   On Saturday, June 25, 2011, our church family has an awesome opportunity to live out this mission in Wentzville at the first annual “Run for the Ridge 5K & Family Fun Run.”

Proceeds from this event will be given to the Peine Ridge Elementary Special Education Department and the “Friends of Wentzville Parks” to help with the construction of a new park on Peine Road.

As an added benefit, we have the opportunity to get in shape together!  For as we learned from 1 Timothy 4:8, physical training is of some value!

Because this is a large-scale community event, we need everyone’s participation!  In addition to runners, we need a large number of volunteers to assist on race day.  To register for either the 5K race or the 1 Mile Family Fun Run, or to volunteer, log on to www.runfortheridge.com today!  You will also have access to event day and course information, 5K training programs, links to our Facebook and Twitter pages, and you can sign-up for email updates!

Because we have a heart for the people of Wentzville, we encourage you to invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone else you come in contact with!  We are praying that God will use this event to exalt Christ, to provide opportunities for our church family to live out our faith among the lost in our community, and to open doors for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
