Holy Week Resources

Holy Week Resources

Holy Week was the final days of Jesus’ pre-resurrection ministry on earth, starting with Palm Sunday and culminating in His Resurrection Sunday.  This is sometimes referred to as Passion Week.  Today people observe these 8 days (for 2016 it is March 20th – 27th) as part of the Lenten season. In order to help you focus in on Jesus and His suffering, serving, and sacrifice during this final week of Lent, please make use of …

The Ridge Student Ministry

“The Ridge Student Ministry” Partnering with Parents to Disciple their Students The Ridge Student Ministry serves students from 6th-12th grade. In all of our ministry to children and youth, we have the same mission: to bring glory to God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that Scripture is clear that parents are to be the lead disciple-makers in the lives of their children. In Deuteronomy 6, parents are told to teach the Scriptures …

Mission, Vision, and Eternity

Eternity at Stake Mission. Vision. These words get a lot of use in the business world today, and for good reason! There is much at stake. As one mid-sized company states, “…with 500 employees and revenue of $37 million a year…it’s safe to say that we wouldn’t be where we are without visioning.” We also hear these words used in many churches today – and again, for good reason! There is much at stake. And …

Is Corporate Fasting Biblical?

Is Corporate Fasting Biblical?

In Matthew 6:16-18 Jesus makes it abundantly clear that the spiritual practice of fasting should not be done in order to be seen by others, but rather we should go out of our way not to be seen by others.  In light of this, the question is, “Is it wise or right or Biblical to encourage a corporate fast by everyone within a local church?”  The implication is that if everyone knows that everyone else …

But we want to do even more this year to help you more fully seek Christ this Advent season as you prepare to celebrate Him on Christmas!  So, we are planning …

What, Why, and How to Fast

What, Why, and How to Fast

What does it mean to fast?  I’m not talking about just foregoing food for a period of time.  People do that all the time.  Sometimes they “fast” because they want to diet or because they’re too busy or because they are on some sort of hunger strike to make a point and force an agenda. But what does it mean to do a Christian fast?  What should we be doing during a fast?  Why should we …

It’s official…We have broken ground!

It’s official…We have broken ground!

On May 5, 2013, we officially entered into eXponential, a two-year generosity emphasis that we embarked on together as a church to help fund the mission and vision God had given to our church.  During eXponential we set a goal to raise $1.37 million in two-years and broke the total goal down into three categories: Exalt, Equip and Engage.  Within Exalt, we planned to raise $757,000 to cover the on-going ministry and operating expenses at …
